I’m making room for the connections between my writing, software work, practical projects, and the community around me.

Thinking and reading

I keep returning to questions about a good life together: how we learn, how we build useful technology, and how local relationships grow stronger. Reading and writing help me work through those questions. I’ll add specific books here as I’m ready to talk about them.

Growing and learning

I’m learning to garden and to grow things in ways that care for the land. I’m also learning practical skills through projects around the property. Some things work and some don’t; I want to make room for that learning in my writing.

Meeting people nearby

I regularly attend 1 Million Cups in Grants Pass on Wednesday mornings. It’s a place to meet people working on businesses and ideas, and to continue conversations about what matters locally.
