Editorial record
The Stonemason’s Ledger
Each published form is preserved as an immutable edition. The second edition strengthens the relationships among the city’s people, places, and living systems while leaving the original text and its provenance intact.

Living connections edition
Why it exists
The original edition contained powerful individual images, but their relationships did not always carry the synthesis. This edition lets work, knowledge, and care pass between people so the city reveals itself as one living system.
What changed
- Carries Elara’s pottery, Silas and Finn’s chart, Lyra’s audience, and the harbor’s people across chapter boundaries so later scenes grow from earlier hands.
- Recasts the Mycelial Post as a gardeners’ story with uncertainty, interruption, and practical care rather than a clinical explanation of network behavior.
- Reworks the reef as overlapping lives sharing current, shelter, damage, and repair, while preserving its coral, creatures, storm, and harbor imagery.
- Lets Leo’s harbor errands gather local tallies into a common record and carry acknowledgments outward, drawing on BRC-90’s movement of specialized work without turning the parable into technical exposition.
- Deepens the seed lineage through gifts, harvests, and returned observations, then closes with two pouches passing beneath the original arch and the next ledger entry still unwritten.
